Archi-treasures Holds Workshops at the Viceroy SRO Project

Archi-treasures is working on a new art project at the Viceroy SRO Project. The arts-based community organization led two participatory workshops this month to develop concepts for an outdoor sculpture to be placed at the corner of Ogden Avenue and Warren Avenue. LBBA’s Jeff Bone and Jack Schroeder kicked-off the first workshop on December 1 with a presentation and tour of the Viceroy SRO Project, a historic and green rehabilitation slated for completion by March 2013. The group reconvened at the First Baptist Congregational Church where artist Bernard Williams worked with community residents to generate themes for the project. Participants presented their ideas and models, and continued work at the following workshop on December 8.
