Spanish Coalition for Housing Offices will be the future home for the non-profit organization that currently resides in a small storefront office space in Humboldt Park. The adaptive reuse project will make use of a single story former garage warehouse space and convert it into a two-story office space. The office will feature approximately 7,350 SF of new office space on two floors that will consist of private offices, 2 conference rooms, a community resource center, an open plan office area, and an exterior courtyard through the center of the space that will allow both light and fresh air to the interior of the building.
Keeping the user’s needs in mind, the office building will incorporate daylight via all glass storefronts on two sides as well as a generous light well courtyard in the middle of the building; low flow plumbing fixtures, energy efficient windows and storefronts, R-21 insulated exterior walls, R-30 continuous roof insulation, energy efficient lighting fixtures low VOC products, sealants, and adhesives, and high efficiency mechanical systems. -
