Originally built in 1973 under the HUD Section 236 Program, the residential planned development consists of 272 family units in 27 buildings on a 12 acre site. Facilitated by Department of Housing funds, the project involved a complete building and site rehabilitation with a budget of $7 million. Working closely with residents and management, the design incorporated a new management office, community room and computer center. The rehab included building energy upgrades in conjunction with energy analysis testing. In addition, Archi-Treasures and kids within the community, developed a centrally-located community garden.
