Profile

Landon Bone Baker Architects is a hands-on, full-service architectural practice. There are three principals in the firm backed by a technically skilled, talented, and committed support staff. The office approaches each project as a team. This collaborative effort not only operates within our office, but it extends to our relations with the client, users, and our technical consultants.

We are prepared to meet the challenge of planning and designing for all types of projects, from affordable apartment rehabilitations to more generous new single-family homes; from daycare centers to college libraries; and retail stores and offices to building new office buildings. We have acquired skills to develop creative yet cost conscious solutions that reflect our clients’ program, site, historic issues, energy usage, and budget constraints. We do our best to incorporate and express the use of natural and local materials, personalize the craftsmanship, and to bring appropriate modern technology to all of our work. In 1997 we formed Knothead Furniture Company to help us realize more specific interior design needs. We are familiar and comfortable with the many requirements of funding agencies, Board of Directors, program committees, historic review, city zoning and building departments, MOPD and accessibility, and urban planning issues.
